To begin, click the Create Class test button in the Set Homework menu. You will then be taken to a form where you will fill in some general information about the test.

Title: First of all, enter the title for the class test reminder. This will appear on the school calendar, as well as on the students’ personal calendars.

Describe the task for your students: Fill in this box with information the students need to know about the test. You can include hyperlinks by clicking on the chain icon towards the right-hand side.

Subject: Select a subject for the assignment. This will help students locate their homework on the school calendar, and can be used for filtering on reports.

Class group(s): Select the class group to which your homework will be assigned from the drop down menu.

Top tip: Repeat this step as many times as necessary to set homework to multiple classes. You can also post homework to a class you are covering; the classes you don't teach can be found at the bottom of the list.

Marking scheme: Choose a marking scheme from the drop down menu. This will allow you to grade the homework accordingly later. New marking schemes can be created by a school Admin.

Issue date: Select the date on which you wish your students to get notified about their forthcoming Class Test. This allows you to set tasks far in advance while preventing the students from rushing ahead.

Test date: Indicate the date on which the test will take place.

Attachments (optional): Add attachments to the assignment by dropping them on the upload area or by pressing the Upload from my computer button. Alternatively, store files on My Drive for easy access from any device.

Add web links by pasting the URL of the site you wish to use into the field below. We will embed these to ensure that your students are never distracted by irrelevant material.

Once you have done that, you can set the homework by pressing the Publish button.

Top tip: Started a class test but don't have time to finish? Save it as a draft to come back to it later. You can find it again in My Resources > My drafts.
